9/15/2026: IMPORTANT TRANSITION UPDATE: Rochester RHIO continues to work with HealtheConnections, NYeC, and NYSDOH on transition planning activities. Participants should continue using Rochester RHIO services as they do today. Critical services, including Results Delivery and clinical data access, remain available.
No Action Required for Most Participants
Organizations that have selected Rochester RHIO as their Designated or Additional Health Information Network (HIN) do not need to take any action if they wish to transition to HealtheConnections. Organizations wishing to select a different HIN must submit a HIN election change by October 15, 2026. Organizations that do not make a change by this date will automatically be included in the transition to HealtheConnections.

November 2016
The Rochester RHIO is pleased to announce the addition of statewide data to the RHIO Explore clinical query portal. This update allows Explore users to query and retrieve patient information from other regions in the state through the SHIN-NY.
For example, if an Explore user is looking up a patient who resides in Genesee County, the user can then query for state clinical data that may be available through HealtheLINK in Buffalo, or another one of eight health information exchanges (HIEs) in New York State.
For additional details on using this function, access the Rochester RHIO User Guide, which can be found by logging into the Provider Portal and clicking on the Information tab.
