New this week: A large, cross-organizational team is working together to support the transition to Fusion, the new Health Information Exchange (HIE) platform.
As a reminder, Rochester RHIO (RRHIO) will transition from Explore+ to a new clinical query platform, Fusion, in late July. Once the transition is complete, users will be able to access patient medical records across the Western New York, Finger Lakes, and Southern Tier regions.
Teams across partner organizations are working to ensure data flows reliably across the healthcare IT infrastructure as we transition platforms. They have been preparing and loading data, testing system connections, aligning operational models, answering questions, and preparing users for the transition.
This transition is part of a broader statewide effort led by the Statewide Health Information Network for New York (SHIN-NY), New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC), and other partners to streamline infrastructure, share services, reduce duplication, and make the best use of healthcare resources.
