Rochester RHIO is leading the way when it comes to race, ethnicity and gender healthcare data. With a focus on reducing disparities of care, Rochester RHIO is improving the quality and completeness of this demographic data shared in electronic health record systems across the greater Finger Lakes region.
As part of a Greater Rochester Health Foundation grant, Rochester RHIO is working with key community partners and our Top 100 data sources to implement standards around this demographic data through a collaborative process. The project launched this year. The New York eHealth Collaborative is also looking to do more in the area of health data equity in 2023. Rochester RHIO is the first HIE in the state to launch an active project on improving the quality of race, ethnicity and gender identification for health data.
Rochester RHIO is ahead of the curve.
