Important Information

9/15/2026: IMPORTANT TRANSITION UPDATE: Rochester RHIO continues to work with HealtheConnections, NYeC, and NYSDOH on transition planning activities. Participants should continue using Rochester RHIO services as they do today. Critical services, including Results Delivery and clinical data access, remain available.

No Action Required for Most Participants

Organizations that have selected Rochester RHIO as their Designated or Additional Health Information Network (HIN) do not need to take any action if they wish to transition to HealtheConnections. Organizations wishing to select a different HIN must submit a HIN election change by October 15, 2026. Organizations that do not make a change by this date will automatically be included in the transition to HealtheConnections.

Training

Rochester RHIO provides onsite training and web-based training to assist physicians and office staff with incorporating RHIO software tools into their daily workflow. RHIO supplies each office with patient communication materials outlining the value and capabilities of our community health information exchange. These materials aid in patient education efforts by detailing the value of patient participation.

To access Rochester RHIO’s clinical query portal, all users must complete initial training. In addition, annual refresher training is required to review RHIO policies, available services, and HIPAA compliance. Refresher training can be completed online, via webinar, or through an onsite session conducted by RHIO staff. After completing any RHIO training, users must attest that the training activity was successfully completed.

If you would like specific information on training, contact your Regional Account Manager or our RHIO Support at 1-877-865-7446 (RHIO).
